Recent Venezuela Update

With over 1 million% inflation and poverty in Venezuela, the situation is dire for it's people and much WORSE for the animals.

Red de Apoyo Canino is a non-profit organization based in Venezuela that worked tirelessly to end animal abuse and neglect.

Now due to Coronavirus/COVID19, the situation has escalated to critical and URGENT help is needed to support the animals.

Since partnering with Red de Apoyo Canino over 3 years ago, we've been able to help feed 400 dogs per month on average in Venezuela along with providing support for vaccinations, neutering, medical care, and adoptions.

We also provide continued monthly support to other organizations around the globe for food, medical care and adoptions. 

In 2019, we ran several rescue operations which allowed us to bring six dogs from Venezuela to the USA, all of which have been adopted into loving forever homes!  Our mission is to increase this number to 100 dogs in 2020 with our partner in Los Angeles the Vanderpump Dog Foundation.

In collaboration with national and international institutions, both public and private, these GACs work to optimize resources for promoting spaying and neutering, animal adoption, and defending animal rights.

The organization plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of respect for life by actively engaging citizens and instilling values that support animal welfare.

They organize ongoing, low-cost spay and neuter campaigns for abandoned dogs and cats, offer technical training workshops for veterinarians interested in social work, and promote a culture of compassion toward domestic animals through educational adoption campaigns.

Red de Apoyo Canino does not operate as a shelter. Instead, their model focuses on coordinating assistance through partnerships with communities, local governments, and other related institutions to transform the harsh reality faced by many animals.
